The suit is binded with upper body (or full body) armor. If you remove this part, then the costume will also be removed from the player's model, but will remain in this item. I'm not sure about the loss during enchanting, but it should disappear forever
The safe way is to take off the suit for 15 coupons, enchant the item and insert the suit again for 350
