If you are gonna play server first time, it's useful to know a few things that's different here:
-There is no dye(called tattoos here) limit here. You can put +4 wit - 4men +4wit -4men +4wit -4men for example and you will get +12 wit. Normally limit is +5 dye of the same type. Not here. If you are not sure which ones to put, there are recommendations in dye npc which are found at grocery's shop corner. Dyes(tattoos) are free, so get them at the start.
-Instead of special ability on weapons like acumen, focus, etc. we have runes here. The bigger level of rune - the bigger the effect. One IMPORTANT thing is - you get used rune back if you want to remove it(unlike special ability in normal servers). So feel free to use your runes even on low weapon, because later you can get rune back. Also you can use the same kind rune twice. Only cannot use for the same effect. There are always scammer shops sitting close to rune npc. Don't buy anything from them. Gemstones C are free.
-When enemy player dies 1-3 people get adena: the one who last hit(60% of amount), the one who hit before last hit(30% of amount), the one who used last debuff(10% of amount). So if you have a chance to use skills like ice dagger, poison, etc., skills which constantly deal dmg. That way there is a good chance you get adena for assist and debuff. If you are the one who dealt last hit and dealt hit before last hit you will get both - kill and assist adena. Doesn't matter if other player helped you.
-If you are gonna play mage then you must know how skills work. Unlike interlude here are some cooldowns on main skills like prominence, hydro blast. Important - casting speed doesn't affect cooldowns! The only difference is that you will cast spell a little bit faster, but you will still have to wait the same time until you can repeat spell and cooldown starts counting from the moment you start spell. So mage set which give m atk are better than casting speed sets.

By increasing faction level you can learn skills, buy better items in faction npc.
